By Car
The main entrance to Gordon Castle is situated on the A96 approximately 9 miles east of Elgin and 12 miles west of Kieth at the western end of the village of Fochabers. Inverness Airport is adjacent to the A96, 44 miles from Gordon Castle. Aberdeen Airport is 57 miles away and is also just off the A96.
From the West and Elgin
Follow the A96 East towards Aberdeen after the bridge over the River Spey, just beyond Baxters take the third exit (B9104) off the roundabout, which is the local road to Fochabers. After a short distance turn left by the War Memorail and continue up to and through the arch.
From Aberdeen
Take the A96 East towards Elgin. After Keith , stay on the A96 and over the first roundabout signposted to Fochabers, continue down the hill and leave at the next roundabout, sharp first left exit (B9104) onto the local road to Fochabers above.
From the South
Take the A9 north from Perth and turn right onto the A95 just north of Aviemore. Follow tge A95 to Craigellechie and then onto the next village Rothes. At the roundabout at the north end of the village take the B9105 signposted Mosstodloch and Fochabers. Continue on this road until you join the A96 at the roundabout. After a short distance turn left by the War Memorial and continue up to and through the arch.
From the North
Take the A96 from Inverness and follow the directions above from elgin

By Air
Gordon Castle is slightly closer to Inverness Airport (Dalcross) than Aberdeen (Dyce). There are more flight options at Aberdeen for both national and international routes including daily flights to and from London, Bristol, Birmingham and Southampton, as well as international destinations such as Amsterdam, Dublin, Esbjerg, Paris and Stavanger. Many attractive low cost air fares are available from a number of airlines at both airports as well as private plane facilities.

Most national companies have depots in Aberdeen and Inverness and a number of them now have outlets in Elgin
By Train
Fochabers is situated mid way between Aberdeen and Inverness both of which have excellent rail links to the rest of the country. Keith, eight miles to the East is best for stations to Aberdeen whilst Elgin 10 miles to the west connects with Inverness and the Highlands. There are good intercity connections both at Aberdeen and Inverness stations.
By Bus
Intercity buses offer a frequent service to Inverness and Aberdeen with excellent onward connections.
