Historic Gordon Castle, set in beautiful landscaped gardens, is a magnificent setting for marriage ceremonies and wedding celebrations large and small. The in-house events team specialises in designing truly bespoke wedding packages, using trusted local suppliers, to ensure peace of mind for the happy couple and a memorable celebration for family and friends.
The castle can host small intimate wedding breakfasts for up to forty guests, with accommodation for eighteen in eight double and two single bedrooms. Further accommodation for guests can be arranged in cottages within the castle estate and in local hotels and guesthouses. Catering for smaller events can be facilitated in-house or via trusted local caterers depending on preference.
The castle garden, to the rear of the main house, provides the perfect location for a marquee, catering easily for up to two hundred and fifty guests. This area can also be arranged to accommodate an outdoor wedding ceremony. Gordon Castle is licensed for civil marriages so more private ceremony locations within the estate can be discussed on an individual basis. For those who wish to marry in church, Gordon Chapel, with its historic and celebrated stained glass windows, is adjacent to the castle grounds in Fochabers. Reverend Frances Forshaw is delighted to welcome couples from near and far.
