A wedding at Gordon Castle is like no other. Nestled in a private estate on the River Spey in Moray, the castle, the grounds and our event spaces offer historic romanticism, classically styled and ready to take on your desired theme. We don't help you to just create a wedding day, we help you create lifelong memories you'll never forget.

Whether you want 250 or 20 guests, we can cater for your needs throughout our unique event spaces. We don't churn out package weddings; every wedding is unique and custom-built with the help of our Events Manager Kyra Paisley. 

No two wedding ceremonies are the same and we completely respect that. In Scottish law, a religious or belief ceremony can be held anywhere agreed by the couple and the approved celebrant.

For indoor ceremonies, our Orangery provides the perfect backdrop for up to 90 guests. The castle itself can hold up to 40 guests for a romantic ceremony by the fire, ideal for the colder months. For outside ceremonies, couples have chosen to marry on the River Spey in our fishing hut, outside in a wood clearing, in the castle grounds and in our walled garden. But for outdoor ceremonies please do bear in mind we are in Scotland and the weather can change at any time!

Tower Hall - a restored wedding venue attached to the castle's historic tower. This space can take up to 250 guests for the ceremony and reception and is a blank canvas for you to put your own stamp on. Situated adjacent to the exclusive use castle it is perfect for keeping close family and friends nearby.

For those preferring a religious ceremony the Bellie Kirk (Church of Scotland), St Mary's Church (Roman Catholic) and the Castle's own Gordon Chapel (Episcopalian) with its beautiful stained glass windows, are all close by in the Georgian centre of Fochabers.
